EDITOR GUIDE · MARKDOWN

Write notes in a simple format.

Each note is a regular Markdown file. The site builds it into a fast, crawlable page. No CMS account, database or content API is needed.

ADD A NOTE

Create a Markdown file.

Create a file in src/content/notes/, for example my-topic.md. Start it with the note’s title, description, exam and subject:

---
title: Your note title
slug: your-note-title
description: A concise summary for readers and search results.
primaryExam: uppsc
applicableExams: []
subject: polity
language: English
prelims: true
mains: true
keywords:
  - syllabus term
demo: false
---

Write the reviewed note here using Markdown.

## A section heading

Add paragraphs, lists, links, images, quotations and tables as needed.

Use an existing exam ID and subject ID from the catalogue. Add another exam under applicableExams only when the same note truly applies. Hindi notes use language: Hindi and their own verified content.

REVIEW & PUBLISH

Review changes before they go live.

Submit the file through the project’s normal Git review process. After it is merged to the publishing branch, the static build creates the public page, search entry and sitemap URL.

Use demo: true only for layout examples. Draft and review notes stay outside the published site until merged.

For teams who prefer a visual editor, a free file-based CMS can be added later without changing the static site architecture.
